Scarlino, Italy - Sunday September 13th marked the official kick-off of the X-41 World Championship at the Marina di Scarlino in Maremma Tuscany. The event is organized by the Yacht Club Italiano and of the Club Nautico Scarlino, with the support of X-Yachts Italia.

In the afternoon the Measurement Committee, chaired by Franco Noceti assisted by Francesco Morassutti, began checking each yacht’s displacement: this phase was completed today.

The first race is due to start on Wednesday September 16th. The starting gun is scheduled following the skippers’ briefing at 9:00.

The program allows for a maximum of 10 races, and no more than 3 can take place in a single day. The first discard kicks in after race 4 and the second after race 9.
