The final reading is the average of the period.
The concept for "Wind Meter" came from a group of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs that happen to love wind sports. The idea for converting the decibel reading from the wind “noise” on the mic to a velocity reading almost seemed obvious after-the-fact, and we were a little surprised we were the first to release something like this on the market. After a considerable amount of R&D, Wind Meter is a really fun gadget that actually works.
Wind Meter supports multiple units of measure including Miles Per Hour, Knots, Kilometers Per Hour, Beaufort, and soon Feet Per Second, and Meters Per Second.
Use Wind Meter to determine the wind velocity for a variety of recreational uses such as (but not limited to): windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, rc flying, hang gliding, golfing, hunting, fishing, rowing biking, tennis, and many more.
Note: This application is not meant to take the place of scientific instrumentation and is for recreational use only.
