The Alinghi Collection 2010 was presented tonight to an enthusiastic audience at a fashion show in the Port America’s Cup.

The collection was presented by 21 models, featuring former Swiss top model Emilie Boiron. There were also 14 children of team members modelling kids clothing.

“The show was an outstanding success. Alinghi represents more than sailing, and today’s display expressed the passion and excellence that has come to mark Alinghi,” said team communications director Paco Latorre. “There was a large crowd, and you could see the interest in our collection on their faces.”

The clothes included variations of the gear from official clothing supplier Odlo and worn by Alinghi team members in their quest to win the 33rd America’s Cup. There was also the KB Collection for women and kids, including bikinis and beach wear, much of it designed by Kirsty Bertarelli and using the Alinghi logo and colours.

The show opened with two Alinghi-branded Bikebord electric tricycles being displayed and closed with an Arlen Ness motorcycle in Alinghi colours. Other items displayed were from team partners Hublot watches, Oakley sunglasses and Wenger knives and shoes.

The event was attended by 500 people, including guests of the team, families, friends, sponsors and it was open to the public of Valencia. - http://www.flickr.com/photos/alinghiteam/4338554816/
