Speedboat: It's Alive!!

Photos by Richard Gladwell /Sail-World.com
The top secret designed Juan Kouyoumdjian SuperMaxi named Speedboat makes it's debut in New Zealand. Built by Cookson Boats the new 100fter is lifted onto her keel. She will be heading to the US to race in the Newport Bermuda race. Anyone know who the owner is? We do...

I cannot wait to see it in the Bermuda race! Let hope for decent wind and hopefully the boat will stay together and maybe Pyewacket's Record will fall! I don't think it is a conicidence that Leopard changed there mind and opted out of the Bermuda Race. Also I see that Alfa Romeo is up for sail. Are the guys afraid of the competition?

Amazing rig! How much would something like that set you back? Sure it is worth it though...

Interesting to note the name Speedboat is not listed on the list of entries for the Bermuda list.
