We have heard reports that Hydroptere has broken the 50 knot barrier at a speed of 52.86 knots sailing in winds of 40 knots plus. We are wanting on a conformation.

no they just see 52 knots on their GPS as the max speed they reach, but they are far from the 50 knots barrier !
In the same time Sébastien Cattelan and his kite fly at 50.26 knots, with a GPS record at 58.3 knots and an average speed at 54 knots for 200 meters.
