Six RC 44's will finally participate in the Puerto Calero RC 44 Gold Cup. Indeed, Armando Giulietti's team Hiroshi - Città di Milano decided at the last minute to withdraw from the event, giving a chance to its pursuers to conquer the RC 44 season champion title.

The wind has been fairly light for the past few days, and the breeze should remain light until the start of the race on Wednesday.

Three new RC 44 teams will join the Class in February in Puerto Calero, for the first event of the 2009 season, and three more will join the circuit in Sardinia.
