An epic adventure it was indeed! We just got back from the world premier of the Morning Light movie at the San Diego Film Festival. It was star-studded night with Roy Disney, crew member Piet Van Os, and many of the film’s producers on hand. The night started out with a VIP party in the lobby with Roy Disney giving interviews to the media. After a short while we were escorted into the theater as Disney, Van Os, and producers took their seats. I’m not going to give away the whole movie, but in short it was awesome! A full-on sailing movie made for the big screen. Built in with drama and emotion you quickly became one of the crew. Feeling every emotion they experienced, you begin to understand the time and energy that has gone into being a crew member. You get wrapped up in the highs and lows of racing across the Pacific with your teammates. Morning Light brings it all together in an epic story about yacht racing.
