Numbers sails to victory in Porto Cervo...

Unfortunately racing was cancelled due to no wind, but Numbers, powered by Alinghi, won its class and Alinghi.com talks to Ernesto Bertarelli about the week onboard Dan Meyers’ Vrolijk 66:
“It has been a fantastic week of sailing. We won and this makes us really happy of course. It is only a shame that today there was no wind since in some classes the last race could have changed the final results. But for us after a week like this one we can’t ask for more!

“It has also been a good opportunity to race all together again. Numbers has a 20 people crew so we were almost all back together for the first time since the America’s Cup. This is important for our training and it makes me happy! The boat is also fantastic; we are proud it has been designed by Rolf Vrolijk, Alinghi’s principal designer and Dirk Kramers, Alinghi’s chief engineer. A lot of what we learned during the Cup with Alinghi is being introduced on Numbers and the result is demonstrated on the water.” - Alinghi.com
