Stanford places second at North/South

Santa Barbara, Calif - The Cardinal continued its championship season for the fall this past weekend, traveling to Santa Barbara, CA and placing second in the North/South Regatta hosted by UCSB. This culmination event for the co-ed fall sailing season on the Pacific Coast decides the all-important scheduling order for teams in the Pacific Coast College Sailing Conference.
Wanting to travel east this spring to gauge its work against the strong East Coast teams, beating the other PCCSC teams at this event was of the utmost importance. Competing for the Cardinal in the varsity event was seniors Eddie Conrad and Carrie Denning in A division, senior Evan Brown and junior Kelly McKenna in B Division, freshman Cole Hatton and sophomore Peter Stemler in the single-handed C and D divisions respectfully. The depth of the Stanford team is a huge advantage in this four division regatta competed in FJs and Lasers. -
