Rolex Ilhabela - Personal Wins Regatta

Ilhabela, São Paulo, Brazil
The light and unstable winds on Monday delayed the start for the IMS and ORC classes and also resulted in a change of course by the Race Committee. In spite of the conditions, the Argentinean boat Personal, skippered by Jose Estavez, won the first of six windward-leeward races in the IMS 500 class at the Rolex Ilhabela Sailing Week. In yesterday's regatta the 42-foot Personal was first on corrected time, while Oi Sorsa III was fourth on corrected time but managed to maintain the overall lead in the IMS 500 class after two days of racing. Personal was the winner of the first leg of the IMS South American Championship during the Circuito Atlantico Sud Rolex Cup and in Ilhabela it is the smallest boat in the IMS 500 division.
